Utah Islanders Football Program Hypes Ute Conference Game Day Activities
Bountiful, Utah - The Utah Islanders Football program brought t-shirts, half time games, and fan engagement to the Ute Conference Game Day activities held at Legacy Park Saturday, September 14th, 2024.
Youth groups of all ages from Bountiful and Woods Cross participated in spirited football rivalry games.. The atmosphere was electric as the young athletes took to the field, cheered on by enthusiastic parents and spectators.
Prior to game 1 kick off, our athletes enjoyed a delicious breakfast of burritos, fueling up with the grub provided by The Grill Master Alpastor for the day ahead. The presence of Utah Islanders Football players Jed Masson (P), Nicholas Clark (OL), Raven Janis (DL), and Kai McCormick (DL) was enjoyed throughout the day, several youth players recognizxing Raven from our future Islanders ™ youth camp held in May of 2024. These athletes mingled with the crowd, interacted with the youth football teams, and scouted for potential half-time participants.
During halftime, a thrilling football toss competition took place, offering participants the chance to win a $250 SCHEELS gift card. The crowd was supportive with cheers as contestants of all ages showcased their throwing skills. Masson (P) on the megaphone announces a local bountiful mom as the winner, while Janis (DL) utilized the t-shirt cannon, launching shirts from SCHEELS, the Utah Islanders, and the UTE Conference. The rivalry between Bountiful and Woods Cross continued into the afternoon, with UTE CONFERENCE host Marcus Seas expertly coordinating staff, security, and the broadcasting of the games.
The Utah Islanders Football program's involvement in the Ute Conference Game Day activities not only provided an enjoyable and memorable experience for the young athletes but also highlighted the importance of team and community engagement. We hope the program's dedication to fostering a love for the sport of football and supporting the local community was evident throughout the day.
