Ti Kinikini Directs Islanders Education & Compliance Pathway
It is with great pride to introduce David "Ti" Kinikini as the Director of Academics & Recruiting for the Utah Islanders Football Program. Ti brings an unmatched level of passion, experience, and dedication to the vision, making him an invaluable asset as we work to elevate the athletes in our program.
For over 14 years, Ti has been a steadfast advocate for historically underserved and marginalized communities at the University of Utah's Center for Equity & Student Belonging (CESB). His work has gone beyond academics, fostering opportunities for students to thrive in all aspects of life. As the academic advisor for the renowned All-Poly Camp, Ti has demonstrated his ability to develop student-athletes by emphasizing the importance of education alongside athletic success. His workshops on college qualifications, study habits, and compliance are well-regarded for preparing athletes to succeed at the next level.
Ti's commitment to the Pacific Islander community further aligns with the core mission of the Utah Islanders. As the advisor for the University of Utah's Pacific Islander Student Association, he has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for Pacific Islander students, emphasizing higher education and community engagement. His deep ties to the community and his ability to inspire athletes and their families make him uniquely positioned to identify, recruit, and develop academic pathways for our program.
Having Ti Kinikini join the Utah Islanders is a testament to our commitment to not only competing at the highest levels but also to holistically supporting our student-athletes throughout their football and academic journey. With Ti's approach, we are confident in building a program that not only identifies top-tier talent but also ensures our athletes are prepared for life beyond football.
Welcome to the team, Ti! Your expertise and passion will undoubtedly help us continue to raise the bar for Utah football.
