Utah Islanders Name Trevor Reilly as General Manager

Herriman, UT — A former NFL linebacker and University of Utah Captain, Reilly brings a wealth of experience from both the professional and collegiate ranks. After a playing career with the New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins, Reilly transitioned to coaching, first as a student assistant at the University of Utah, and most recently serving on the staff of Coach Deion “Prime” Sanders at Jackson State University and the University of Colorado.

“Trevor has walked the path—from college football to the NFL to coaching some of the most high-profile programs in the country,” said Islanders founder Chris Heliin. “He knows what it takes to compete at every level and more importantly, how to prepare our athletes to thrive in those environments.”

As General Manager, Reilly will oversee all football operations, including player development, recruiting, staff coordination, and organizational strategy. His experience working with Coach Prime in building elite programs and mentoring top-tier athletes will be instrumental in the Islanders’ mission to develop the next generation of college-ready and professional-caliber football players.

“Joining the Utah Islanders is about impact,” said Reilly. “This is a program that’s doing something different—something bold. I believe in the mission, and I’m here to help build something special for these athletes and for Utah.”

With Reilly’s leadership, the Islanders take another step toward becoming the nation’s premier independent football development program.
